As a trauma-aware Registered Psychotherapist, I help people who are struggling with a variety of challenges. My approach to therapy is compassionate, cultural, relational and strengths based. I work with people living in Ontario, Canada, and are 18 years or older, who facing concerns related to:

Anxiety and depression
Trauma recovery
Grief and loss
Performance or work and life integration
Self-critical lens & perfectionism
Body image, confidence and self-worth
Maternal mental health (including transition to work, birth and reproductive trauma and recovery)
Self-exploration and personal development

Kara Hardin holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. Kara also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and prior to pursuing work as a mental health educator and clinician, she worked as a corporate and securities lawyer at a top-tier Canadian law firm. In her work, Kara draws from a range of clinical orientations, emphasizing relational, feminist, multi-cultural, and strengths-based approaches.
